The picture above represents Siddartha's enlightenment journey. The start serves as the part in his life when he lives as one of the samanas. As he goes through the maze, he hits a dead end because he does not agree with their way of enlightenment. He and his friend Govinda hear of Buddha and they follow him but yet again Siddartha ends up in a dead end. He takes his own enlighment journey and eventually finds this way to enlightenment or the finish as seen above.
